It's only possible define the stock in the first machine setup.
To define the stock dimension , click on item in treeview.
It's important define the stock properly, since the stock dimension and material properties are used all along toolpath creation.
The selected MATERIAL will be used to choose the appropriate tool cutting data parameter .
Meanwhile stock dimension will be used in several machining operation as input
Instead the stock profile , for example , will be used in milling toolpath generation, to cut off the movement outside the part.
As stock type, you can choose from :
- Square ( usually used for mill )
- Cylinder ( usually used for lathe )
- Custom ( only for milling setup )
To have better performance, it's better keep the stock profile simple as possible, when custom profile is selected
Stock from bounding rectangle
Where available, you can use the FROM GEOMETRY command to extract bounding dimension from selected geometry.
- Select geometries
- Press [From GEOMETRY] command
If there is no entities selected , all the visible geometries are considered
